Unknown Event

Looks as if it was taken on the British Celanese sports ground, Borrowash Road, possibly on an annual 'sports day' event. I thought at first that it may be the B C Bowls Club, but blowing the photo up and looking at the photos on the trellis behind the group it can be seen that a marching band is the top photo, and on the larger photo drums can be seen in front of the assembled group. The other photos could be of sections of a band.

Could it be one of Spondon's carnival bands former players gathering?

The youngster on the left looks to be in charge of the prize table, raffle perhaps.

I hope that this gets some grey cells working out there.
