Sitwell Street

Dated: 1987
Taken by: Guy Brighouse

According to Mr George Wright's paper (1913), when he was a boy the right hand cotttage was a butcher's shop and the other building a slaughterhouse.  He was born in 1843/44, and it must have looked rather different.  It was later coachhouse and stable for the Homestead and the gardener lived in the cottage.
