Ha Ha, Grandads on the front
Ha Ha, Grandads on the front row, Charlie Shelton! Born on 25th April 1918 and died in May 1989. He loved cricket and football. His wife, my Nana, Frances May Shelton, born 15th May 1923 and died on 13th October 2000. They first lived somewhere in Spondon then moved to Edmund Road where they brought me up and it was the best of times! Nana's maiden name was Shaw and as a child she lived with my great grandad, Frank Shaw who worked at the Spondon Sewage Works and lived on Moore street.
