Church Street Bakery

Dated: 1930s?
Barry Beck writes: As young lad I can remember going to the bakery for loaves of bread, there were a number of steps up into the shop. I believe it was run by a family by the name of Buxton , possibly related to the bakers in Chaddesden of the same name. This would be around 1950. They had a son who was keen on cars, he was caught by the police using Locko Road as a race track. He started a Masserati dealership in Derby but eventually went bust.
