I was once shown some…
I was once shown some official papers re the 'Swan' that gave the address as 'The White Swan Inn' The Old Market Place, Spondon, Derbyshire. Jean Burton, the wife of Harry Burton, the Landlord, was the person to show me the papers.
It was in responce to my asking her just what was the correct address to the 'Swan', was it Chapel Street, or Gladstone Road, or Moor Street, the answer being the Market Place address.
