Peace Medal (1)

Dated: 1919
Taken by: DH
The 1919 Peace Celebration medals were to be given out to all children up to the age of 16 years of age on Peace Day, 19th July 1919, and took place in most of the commonwealth countries (Canada, India, Australia, South Africa etc).  As for the medals; there are over 280 different varieties. They were normally privately produced, and unfortunately there are no records of who they were issued to.  This looks as if it has been made to resemble the 1914-15 Star, even down to the colours of the ribbon.
