Sims
Dated: about 1910
The tall gentleman is the Earl of Harrington; the old gentleman in the middle with the beard is the 8th Earl of Harrington, Lord Petersham on the occasion of his 70th birthday. He is pictured at the entrance to Locko, being presented with a gift of a silver statuette of himself on his favourite horse, a gift from his friends in Derbyshire. The tall man making the presentation is Captain William Drury Drury-Lowe. The 10th Earl was killed while hunting; there is a stone set in a wall at Holbrook, where he fell. Second right is Mr Ben Sims; the boy is his son; and Ben lived at Borrowood Farm (Clock Farm) until about 1915/16.
