Samuel Arthur Woolley was born in Longdon Row and then his family moved to 89 Locko Road. Before the war he was a grocery delivery boy and cycled all around Spondon and Borrowash delivering. After he came back from the war jobs were hard to come by but he went back into grocery working for Derby Co-op
