I do not think that this is Spondon Church. Looking at other photos of the church on the 'Spondon History' site there are sevaral points that make me believe that it is not Spondon.

David, you may be correct. The postcard didn't name the church, and the sender and addressee and postmark had no connection to Spondon.  I personally checked lots of images of St Werburgh's but all I could decide that it probably was. It's certainly very very similar in design. Please advise what makes you think it's not St. Werburgh's. 

 

Stepped corners on the Tower, no clocks on Tower, 'Castleing' not same, windows not same, windows on spire. In 1908 the view of the Church would have been from the grounds of 'Spondon Hall', Lodge Lane, and I cannot imagine it having the same clear view of the Church as in the photo.
