I and a friend that knew my Grandad when he was older believe the man sitting down on the far right is Thomas Armstrong of Moor End Spondon.

With eleven shields and possibly the eleven players standing, it would appear to be a football or cricket team having won a Cup Final. The four sitting could be the Club Chairman; the Secretary; the club Treasurer and the team Manager.
But who and which club? Is it a Spondon club? Or perhaps a British Celanese team, or inter departmental cup match?
