At the time Mr Howarth was reputed to have played for Preston North End reserves, who lost to the Hammers (Yea!) in the 1963-64 F A Cup Final. Maybe I was just gullible

Was it Mr Thompson who ran a old Jag XK120/140/150?

I thought it was Mr Beasly, cos we called him Scobie (not too far from the Australian jockey Scobie Breasley). He certainly taught Geology.

It is a sobering thought to realise most of these teachers will have passed on...............
