Spondon House School

been to truro college finished my education on accounts front wasted my time in comprenhsive when it should have been left as it was as it was originally intended
left my beautiful people to go to st loyes college Exeter which is no longer there to study computer data processing

I feel the very same way. Great school years there. The wonderful memories that are still part of my life...So much history has gone the way of the bulldozer. It's sad to see that my school, which served so many unique parts of history couldn't be saved.

Hi there Rodney, I remember you well. I too attended Spondon House school from 1967 - 1972. If I recall my final year was at the upper school which was the Grammar School previously. But my first four years were at the lower school. As you say the school burnt down and none of the buildings exist now. The last time I was there which was 2 or 3 weeks ago - end of November 2019 - there was nothing left at all of the old school with just an open field to show where it was. Very sad in a lot of ways; like a part of my life had been taken away. My very best wishes to you.

Update May 2023...I thought they were building on the land where Spondon house school was but I don't think they are,sorry if my last information was incorrect
