I think that this was taken before the 1914-1918 war because a new larger signalbox was built after the Celanese opened, I did hear back in the 1960s that the road was once called Holme Lane and later renamed Station Road. The Midland Railway once owned fields adjoining the station where they kept horses for delivering goods before Celanese their biggest customer was Locko Park.
However the people who gave me this information are now dead.
