Anglers Arms
Dated: 2005
The Anglers Arms was situated on Nottingham Road, Spondon. This pub was built by Hardy Hansons in 1938 to replace an earlier Inn on the site which was bought by them in 1916. The original Inn was a horse changing station for coaches on the Nottingham turnpike. Samuel Lewsley ran it followed by two generations of his family. Closed in November 2009, it was demolished shortly afterwards to make way for an old people's home. |
Demolished 2010.
